The Surveillance & Visualization Specialist, as part of the Operations Technology (OT) team, has the responsibility of implementing & supporting Surveillance workflows and the underlying infrastructure for the Siemens XHQ application within Upstream business. Primary duties for this position will include development of new surveillance screens, maintenance of existing servers/infrastructure supporting the XHQ application, and upgrade of existing XHQ implementations This role will be located in Spring, Texas, and will report to the Data Visualization & Analytics supervisor in Operations Technology within Information Technology (EMIT).
The primary job functions of the Surveillance & Visualization Analyst will include:
• Design and develop surveillance and optimization capabilities for facilities, wells, and critical machinery with guidance from engineers
• Understanding of business surveillance workflows; able to model/create these workflows & displays in the XHQ tool
• Coordinate and collaborate with site implementers and developers to deliver content to the accepted requirements and standards 
• Coordinate and execute on-going upgrades of the systems already implemented
• Participate with the team in evaluating emerging technologies that will provide opportunities to access more high resolution field data for engineering and/or operations use
• Contribute to the definition of new standards, XHQ functionality and package for global delivery 
• Contribute to the installation and testing of new version of the product

Job Requirements:
• 3+ years of experience in the set-up and deployment of XHQ Visualization applications from the ground up for a facility (Upstream facilities preferred, refineries/chemical plants acceptable)
• Experience with the implementation of the suite of XHQ products including Elogs, XQNS, TM and PA
• Broad knowledge of:
• Security Standards, IT practices, IT processes, and expectations with respect to IT infrastructure and Manufacturing IT Applications
• XHQ Visualization Systems and historians
• Purdue model for Level 3 and Level 4 networks as used in the process Control Environment
• IT hardware
• Qualifications in 
• Microsoft Windows Server; IIS; SQL 
• Oracle Database
• XML transformation
• Software Testing and QA
• Software delivery
• Experience in the capture of Process Data into a Process historian
• Programming experience with JavaScript, HTML, XML, .NET helpful
• Significant experience in Software evaluations and testing
• Good organizational and strong technical judgment skills
• Demonstrated teamwork skills
• Ability to be effective with minimal supervision
• Ability to adapt to tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and frequent changes in priorities
• Read, write, and speak fluent English, especially as it applies to technical and business communications
